Information Resources Centers (Libraries)

The library supports and implements the vision of the school through building effective library and information services and programs that contribute to the development of principled learners. (AGS Library Handbook). It aims to develop inquiring young readers by providing quality resources that focuses on reading for pleasure. Librarians strive to work collaboratively with the homeroom teachers and subject specialists to support the curriculum program of AGS.

The library also creates awareness on international events through displays and program on the importance of these events, developing international mindedness, with an Islamic ethos. It encourages effective and honest use of ideas and information and in doing so develops academic honesty amongst our learners. The library in collaboration with the IT department develops research skills amongst our learners and being able to identify reliable websites.

It is the hub of the school and staff are encouraged to: conduct their research lessons in the library, schedule make-up testing, one on one support lessons if needed, therefore making it a buzz of activity. Our librarians offer the required support and or resources.
